They can change their benefits once that person's year is up and the person can elect to renew the card. Or they should not change the benefits plan for the folks who have already paid for the product. So since these benefits are getting taken away from me I.e the product that I already paid for is changing, Capital One should do the most equitable thing meaning they should give some sort of financial compensation in the form of money or miles or some sort of discount. The reason you get a credit card oftentimes is because of the benefits directly. I paid $395 for one year of this credit card service including all of the benefits. But now the product is changing.Įssentially whenever you pay for something and you're told this is the product that you're buying, that product should remain the same. That 395 is for the whole year of the product. So the thing is I'm perfectly fine if they want to change their benefits plan but it shouldn't affect people that have already paid the 395 already. So when I signed up for this card which was only a few months ago the priority pass in full was a part of the deal and I paid $395.
